Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station to close for refurbishment at the Magic Kingdom

Updated:

The Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station at the Magic Kingdom is set to close for a needed refurbishment. The kids play area located in the Storybook Circus area of Fantasyland is expected to close February 11, 2019 with a scheduled reopening date of March 25, 2019.

The play area, which is inspired by the train in Dumbo, has been sorely needing some attention. The wear and tear from the combination of the water and hot Florida sun has discolored and faded many of the elements of the Soak Station. Pieces that are supposed to move have sat static and the overall area has been in desperate need of some paint / replacement.

This refurbishment project appears to be apart of an overall effort to have the Magic Kingdom looking its best ahead of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary in 2021.
