Baby Red River Hog Born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge welcomed an adorable new baby last month! A baby red river hog was born to parents Daisy and Cheech back in June.

The news of the cute red river hog was shared on Instagram by Dr. Mark Penning, Vice President of Disney’s Animals, Science & Environment.

Here’s what Dr. Mark shared about the tiny red river hog.

I am thrilled to introduce the newest addition to the red river hog family! Mom “Daisy” and dad “Cheech” welcomed an “a-boar-able” piglet to the world last month at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Under the watchful eye of our amazing animal care team, this little piggy will remain backstage bonding with mom and dad.

I can’t wait to share more updates soon! Until then, enjoy these #KeeperCam pictures of mom, dad and baby!

The piglet is currently backstage at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Hopefully guests will be able to see this adorable hog in the near future.
