Wishing you could be at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World? Curious what some of the rides are like prior to your first visit? Now you can experience every attraction without having to leave the comfort of your own home.
We’ve compiled on-ride videos from every attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for your enjoyment. This collection won’t include the animal trails, exhibits or shows, which are all awesome and well worth your time. A big “thank you” to all of the creators who helped provide this footage.
Avatar Flight of Passage
Avatar Flight of Passage is one of the most popular attractions at Walt Disney World. Guests ride banshees and fly around Pandora in a ride that’s basically Soarin’ on steroids. The ride “vehicle” is unique as guests board what kind of looks like a motorcycle seat. This is a simulator ride, but it’s one of the best around thanks to its convincing movement, wind, mist and amazing smells.
DINOSAUR
DINOSAUR is a very dark, very bumpy ride that takes you back to the time of the dinosaurs. The ride vehicle is basically a large 8-person jeep that is capable of simulating rocky and rough terrain as it travels back in time in an effort to save a dinosaur. Will you make it back in time before a meteor ends your journey?
Expedition Everest
The most thrilling attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Expedition Everest brings you face to face with the Yeti. Along the way you’ll go backwards, go down an 80-foot drop and reach a top speed around 50mph. The Yeti may not function as originally intended, but that doesn’t take away from this highlight attraction.
It’s Tough To Be A Bug!
This 4D movie isn’t really a ride, but it is a great way to escape the Florida heat and experience a cute story within the Tree of Life. What makes it 4D? Guests will experience several parts of the insect world through sights, smells and even sting. Be warned – some of the effects might be a bit too scary for younger guests.
Kali River Rapids
Ready to get wet? Kali River Rapids is your opportunity to beat the heat on a short yet soggy adventure. What this ride lacks in length it makes up for with a ton of water. Of course, like most water rides, you may escape without getting wet while the rest of your party is soaked – which is half the fun.
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Kilimanjaro Safaris is the heart and soul of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This open-air expedition is an incredible feat of Imagineering that brings guests straight into their own safari adventure. It’s easy to forget you’re in central Florida when giraffe and rhinos walk past your vehicle.
Na’vi River Journey
Chalk this up as one of the most peaceful rides in all of Walt Disney World. A great attraction for the whole family, Na’vi River Journey is low on thrills, high on theming and a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the park.
Primeval Whirl
When operating, Primeval Whirl is your guaranteed path to dizziness. It’s a classic “Wild Mouse” coaster you can find in other amusement parks, but Disney’s version adds cheesy theming that’s convincing as a roadside attraction.
TriceraTop Spin
This is a take on the classic spinner attraction similar to the iconic Dumbo ride in the Magic Kingdom. This prehistoric spin is a great attraction for younger guests.
*****
And there you have it! That’s a look at all of the rides/attractions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This list may seen relatively short, but it’s important to remember that Disney’s Animal Kingdom is also full of some outstanding shows and – of course – great animal exhibits.
