Are the Pools Heated at Disneyland Resort Hotels?

Updated:

Are you planning to stay at one of the Disney hotels around Disneyland Resort? Disney operates three hotels – Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, the Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. Each resort offers several amenities, including a short walk to the parks, activities, and swimming pools.

Each Disney hotel at Disneyland Resort offers at least one pool for their guests. The pools are open year-round and yes, the pools are heated! The Disneyland pools are heated to about 82 degrees, which is the same temperature as the heated pools at Walt Disney World resorts.

Plenty of guests were using the hotel pools during a February visit we had at the Grand Californian Hotel (read our full review). Admittedly, the temperatures were very warm during the day, but they dropped into the low 50s in the evening. That didn’t stop guests from swimming all the way up to closing time late at night. The water felt warm (the air not so much), and we would’ve enjoyed a swim if we didn’t have plans.

California’s weather allows for guests at Disney hotels to swim throughout the year. However, the pools may close for refurbishment or may close early during particularly cold weather. We recommend checking the pool schedule at your hotel when checking in.
