A look at the updated Club Level Lounge at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Updated:

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort reopened to non-DVC guests on July 19, 2021. While guests explored the resort’s brand new Moana themed rooms, a few areas remained closed. One of those areas is the refurbished Club Lounge that serves Club Level guests.

The King Kamehameha Club (we’re not sure if a name change is coming) is where Club Level guests can enjoy snacks and drinks during their stay. This area, like many around Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, underwent a big refurbishment.

Thanks to Tikiman’s Unofficial Polynesian Resort Facebook page, we can see the updated Club Lounge before it reopens. The design of the lounge matches some of the changes made to the resort’s rooms, with Moana theming sprinkled around.

The guest seating space appears to be complete. We immediately recognize design elements from the resort’s updated rooms. Art on the far wall has been updated with Moana imagery.

The upper seating area also features plenty of Moana art and is much brighter than it used to be. The former design leaned heavily into darker woods and greens, which has now been abandoned for lighter colors.

The kitchen serving area appears to be where most of the work still needs to be completed.

Outside of some appliances, the Club Level Lounge looks almost ready to open at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Cast members have said the area is nearing completion, but they don’t have an official reopening date at this time.

What do you think of the new look of the Club Level Lounge at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort?
