A new dining option is coming to Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Disney is currently building a new quick service kiosk that’s themed like a giant box of popcorn near the land’s restrooms and Alien Swirling Saucers attraction.
Our normal eye-in-the-sky reporter @bioreconstruct took some pictures of the stand from a nearby walkway. We don’t know how he flew the helicopter so low …
A picture from another angle shows the other side of the themed stand. It looks like two serving windows are on the side of the popcorn box.
Previously, @bioreconstruct saw Disney working on the new snack stand before they installed the giant box of popcorn. This picture should help triangulate where the stand lives just across the entrance from Alien Swirling Saucers. The stand is just to the side of the land’s restrooms.
Disney has been slowly improving Toy Story Land over the past couple years. In addition to this new stand, Disney added more covered seating near Woody’s Lunch Box. It took a few years to build that shaded seating area (we wish that was a joke), but it was a welcome change.
While we don’t have an official menu for the new snack stand yet, we can safely assume they’ll serve popcorn. It’s a shocking guess, right? Beyond that, we have heard a report that an item or two from Woody’s Lunch Box may move over to this new location to help spread out hungry Disney guests. Woody’s Lunch Box can get swarmed during busy park days, and that sort of change might help.
Disney hasn’t mentioned an opening date for this new snack kiosk, nor have they even officially mentioned it. That said, we expect it will open in the very near future. Not only does the kiosk already look just about done, we think Disney will want it open before the holiday crowds arrive.
