Disney Lakeshore Lodge continues to expand along the shore of Bay Lake. The newest Disney Vacation Club (DVC) property at Disney World, Disney Lakeshore Lodge has added several floors and has new A-Frame structures near the water.
Friend of the site DC Baker captured a great look at the construction progress of Disney Lakeshore Lodge. The picture at the top of this page shows the main building reaching up multiple stories (roughly 9 by our count) in the background. In the foreground, we can see those new A-frame cabins that remind us of the cabins over at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
We counted five of the A-Frame cabins as of the date of this article. It’s worth noting that the original plans for Disney Lakeshore Lodge (back when it was called Reflections โ A Disney Lakeside Lodge) called for 18 cabins, nine on each side of the main building. We’re not sure if Disney is still following those plans exactly, but it gives us an idea of what might be coming.
While Disney Lakeshore Lodge has a long way to go before it’s finished, we’ve already heard complaints from guests staying at the nearby Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Disney Lakeshore Lodge towers over Pioneer Hall, which is the home to Fort Wilderness staples such as the Trail’s End restaurant and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. The new tower shatters the quaint, nature vibes around Pioneer Hall. We don’t know if Disney will try to remedy this problem or if they even can.
Disney Lakeshore Lodge is currently scheduled to open in 2027.
