Rumor: Current version of Move It! Shake It! at the Magic Kingdom to end later in 2018

Updated:

The most current version of theย Move It! Shake It! Dance and Play It! Street Party at the Magic Kingdom is rumored to be having its final run in December 2018. According to WDWMagic, the parade/dance party will have its final run in December, but there may be a different iteration coming in the future.

The version you can currently see rolling through the Magic Kingdom has been around since 2014. Featuring several characters (including some rare ones), the parade also stops and turns into a dance party.

If you’ve never seen Move It! Shake It!, you can see what a portion of the party is like, along with the extremely memorable (for better or worse) song.

Critics of Move It, Shake It! aren’t a fan of the music blaring through the hub of the Magic Kingdom and the floats blocking the streets, but most guests seem to enjoy the fun and color it brings to Main Street USA.

With Disney World currently without a nightly parade, it’d be surprising to see them scratch the idea of Move It!, Shake It!ย from their entertainment lineup entirely. Instead, Disney may update the parade/party or introduce a similar idea in the near future.
