Review: The Num Num Cookie is a delight at Hollywood Studios

Updated:

Chocolate chip cookie lovers need to make a point to visit the Neighborhood Bakery located in Municiberg at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There you’ll find the Num Num Cookie, a special treat that’s part cookie, part tart and all things delicious.

The Num Num Cookie, which is also called the Jack-Jack Cookie Num Num, is inspired by Jack-Jack’s love of cookies as seen in The Incredibles 2. It’s a large dessert that is a crazy hybrid between a regular chocolate chip cookie, a tart and even a small pie.

We made it a point to try this delicacy during our July 2019 trip after hearing glowing reviews. We immediately noticed just how large this dessert was upon ordering. It’s an ideal size to split between two people, but a single person could probably down this dessert without too much trouble.

The Num Num Cookie is served warm, but has a crunchy “crust” that surrounds a mostly gooey center. The overall consistency is that of a cookie bar as opposed to a traditional cookie, but that doesn’t take away from the chocolate chip cookie goodness that lies within. We thought the flavor was great – right up there with the best cookies – and the crunchy, gooey combination was extremely satisfying. You wouldn’t expect a warm dessert to hit the spot on a hot July day in Florida, but that’s exactly what happened.

It’s worth noting that this can be a fairly messy experience due to the melted chocolate and the crumbly nature of the cookie. Using a fork didn’t work too well, so make sure you grab some napkins as you’ll probably end up with chocolate all over your hands.

If you haven’t been to Municiberg at Hollywood Studios, it’s the former location of Pixar Place that has now been converted into the home of the Incredibles. It’s also home to one of the tastiest treats in all of Hollywood Studios.
