Work Continues on the Front Entrance Area of TRON Lightcycle Run

Is TRON Lightcycle Run getting closer to opening at the Magic Kingdom? Yes, but not as quickly as many Disney guests might hope.

When we last checked in about a month ago, the front entrance of TRON Lightcycle Run was taking shape. Now, we can see work is still slowly progressing on the area in front of the ride and on the attraction’s entrance.

Big thanks to @bioreconstruct for this latest update.

Despite its rough appearance, the front area of TRON Lightcycle Run is close to finished. The walkways need railings and a lot of landscaping needs to be completed, but the heavy lifting is finished.

Taking a look at the ride’s actual entrance, we can see theming is being added.

Coaster trains have been spotted testing on TRON Lightcycle Run over the past few months. That fact, combined with the exterior nearing completion, suggests the ride could be ready to open in the very near future.

Disney has not announced an opening date for TRON Lightcycle Run at this time. We expect an opening date will finally be revealed at D23 Expo 2022 this September.
