Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom is all about special fireworks, a great parade and some unique ride overlays. Today we’re going to look at Space Mountain and the transformation it sees during the holiday fun.
The video below features rides on both sides of Space Mountain and showcases the lights and music that turn a normal galactic journey into one that’s a bit more festive.
That’s a little bit different from the usual dark ride, isn’t it? We particularly like the music selections which we feel are a bit more fun than the ones used during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The lighting changes also add a new element to the experience, though we do imagine some riders may still prefer the ride in total darkness.
The ride overlays seen at Space Mountain and the decorations around the Tomorrowland Speedway during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are a great addition to what’s already a very fun event.
