Video: New footage from inside Rise of the Resistance

Updated:

Disney has shared a brand new look inside Rise of the Resistance, the highly anticipated attraction that will be coming soon to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Opening first at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on December 5, Rise of the Resistance is expected to be the new gold standard for Disney attractions.

The video below offers some crazy looks inside the attraction that’s expected to become the anchor and true star of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Watch as guests see BB-8, travel through a Star Destroyer, encounter Kylo Ren and try to escape from a lot of angry Stormtroopers.

As impressive as the video is (it’s pretty awesome), we think Rise of the Resistance will offer an experience that must be seen in person to fully appreciate. It looks like there’s going to be a lot going on around you during your journey. Guests will probably notice something new each time they ride.

Disney appears to be using the opening of Rise of the Resistance to relaunch Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge after the land was met with mixed reviews. The media event ahead of the opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – and possibly the surrounding days – could feature large X-wing drones flying through the sky. Hopefully the drones will prove to be a test that Disney retains and uses regularly for normal visitors to Batuu.
