Video: Haunted Mansion temporarily closes after a maintenance door is left open

Updated:

It’s been a bizarre couple of weeks at the Magic Kingdom. Not long after a Jungle Cruise boat showed guests the underside of water, the Haunted Mansion was closed for a few days after a reported track malfunction prevented the ride vehicles from rotating as intended.

The Haunted Mansion recently reopened, but there was another bizarre incident where a maintenance door was open in the attic scene.

The door, which is more like a large sliding wall panel than it is a traditional door, captivated guests as they passed through the attic. Can you blame them? This was a rare and unintended look behind the scenes of one of Walt Disney World’s most famous attractions.

Guests were welcomed back to the Haunted Mansion later in the day once the door was closed. Maybe the 999 happy haunts were just having a little fun?
