Disney KiteTails is a new daytime show that will debut October 1, 2021 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The show is made up of – you guessed it – kites that will fill the sky of the Discovery River Theater.
The show will run several times daily and will feature animal characters from The Little Mermaid, a bug’s life, Finding Nemo, The Lion King and The Jungle Book.
This looks like a fun offering that will enhance the daytime entertainment at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We think this will be especially great for young guests as Disney KiteTails is all about visuals and less about story.
It’ll be great to see something happening in the Discovery River Theater. The location has sat empty ever since Rivers of Light closed for good in March 2020. While we’d love a new nighttime show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, it’s nice to see something new offered throughout the day.
