Walt Disney World has kicked off its 50th anniversary celebration by unveiling its first golden character sculptures. Several of the golden character statues were installed overnight at the Magic Kingdom.
Disney provided a first look at the sculptures in a video celebrating the anniversary. The sculptures pop up around the 2-minute mark.
The sculptures look great! The designs are full of life and whimsy, which perfectly reflects the characters. It’s also a fun mini-game to try and find all of the statues. Some are much more obvious than others.
More sculptures will be installed around Walt Disney World in the near future. Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration officially begins on October 1, 2021.
