Video: Disney World President Josh D’Amaro turns the music back on for Hollywood Studios’ birthday

Updated:

Walt Disney World President Josh D’Amaro had a special way of celebrating Hollywood Studios’ 31st birthday. The park and all of the Walt Disney World theme parks are currently closed to guests, but that didn’t stop D’Amaro from stopping by and making things feel a bit more magical.

The background music that makes Disney parks feel so immersive and special has been turned off during the closure. D’Amaro called on some help to turn the music back on – if only for a little bit.

It’s remarkable how different Hollywood Studios feels when the music isn’t playing. The background music, which is so easily overlooked unless you stop and pay attention, adds a tremendous amount to the overall feel of Hollywood Studios and every Disney theme park.

This was a fun idea by D’Amaro and hopefully he’ll have a more traditional birthday celebration for Hollywood Studios next year.
