Guests staying in the Epcot Resort Area were treated to an unexpected fireworks test tonight. Video taken from Disney’s Yacht Club Resort shows multiple fireworks shells being launched from World Showcase Lagoon.
Unfortunately, a large tree blocks a portion of the view, but the videos are still worth watching.
Still in progress! Sorry about the tree! pic.twitter.com/18GgiFbXny

It’s quite possible this was an initial fireworks test for Harmonious. We’ve already seen the fountains tested extensively during the day.
Still shooting! pic.twitter.com/zVD06JgnjN

Isn’t it great to see and hear fireworks at Walt Disney World again?
I’m going to bed, but safe to say this will be going on for a bit tonight! pic.twitter.com/Qd9GIMRAh4

Great work by Mattie capturing this video!
Clearly, Disney is still getting their nighttime spectacular ready at Epcot. It’s highly likely Epcot Forever will return when fireworks shows first resume at Walt Disney World (music for the show was recently tested), but crews will continue to get Harmonious ready for its debut later in 2021.
Guests staying in the Epcot Resort Area should keep their eyes and ears open as Disney appears to be ramping up tests for Harmonious.
