Video: Cabins seen moving quickly during Disney Skyliner testing

Guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios today spotted a significant milestone for the Disney Skyliner. Wrapped guest cabins for the Disney Skyliner were moving at a fairly quick pace for the first time since testing began for the new transportation system.

The video below shows what will likely be the operating speed for the guest cabins.

It’s believed that the Disney Skyliner cabins will move at a speed around 11 miles per hour once the system opens. The estimated speed and travel times for the Disney Skyliner indicate that guests will soon be moving around Walt Disney World in a convenient and timely fashion once everything is completed.

Currently, Disney has stated that the Disney Skyliner will open in Fall 2019. However, based on the testing and the rapid construction progress seen at the various stations, it’s easy to imagine everything opening well before the announced Fall 2019 window.
