Uncovered Disney Skyliner cabin spotted running at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios may have noticed an uncovered gondola cabin cruising by overhead. As tests continue for the Disney Skyliner, it appears that at least one cabin was uncovered so that a worker could travel the route from within the cabin.

The photo, courtesy of @ConnorW96, shows that covered gondolas were also running on the line with the uncovered yellow cabin. This latest testing development comes as Disney is preparing the land in other areas of Walt Disney World for emergency evacuations of the Disney Skyliner.

Once open, the Disney Skyliner will whisk guests between two theme parks and four Disney resorts. The speed and travel time estimates suggest that this new method of transportation will be a quick and efficient way to travel around Walt Disney World property.

Disney has previously announced that the Disney Skyliner will officially open in Fall 2019, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see an earlier opening date based on this rapid progress.
