Tripadvisor has released their 2022 rankings for the top amusement and water parks in the United States. Disney had one theme park make the top-10 list, but it did not secure the top overall spot.
The Magic Kingdom was the only Disney park to make the top-10 list. No other U.S. Disney park, including Disneyland, cracked the top 10.

The Best of the Best Things to Do Awards are calculated based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings for experiences, tours, activities, and attractions on Tripadvisor. All Best of the Best Things to Do subcategories are limited to experiences (bookable tours and activities), except the Best Things to Do in 10 cities around the world, where attractions (activities on Tripadvisor that travelers can visit without booking any ticket) are included.
It’s not a surprise to see the Magic Kingdom in the top-10 rankings. It remains the most-visited theme park in the world and the prime destination at Walt Disney World. However, we’re a bit surprised that other Disney parks, such as Disneyland, weren’t in the top 10.
Is Fun Spot America really better than Disneyland? We’d argue Disneyland is the best Disney park in the United States, surpassing the Magic Kingdom by a decent margin.
Disneyland did make it into the top-20, checking in at #11. So too did Disney’s Hollywood Studios that came in at #12. Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, which has been closed for most of 2022, earned the 13th spot. Finally, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park was the last Disney park included at #18.
