Traditional Character Meet and Greets to Start Returning April 18, 2022

Date:

Traditional character meet and greets will start returning at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line and Aulani beginning April 18, 2022.

Disney has announced they will begin welcoming back non-distanced character encounters in a phased process throughout the spring and summer. Character greeting locations and character dining locations will reopen in waves over the next several months.

As much as we enjoyed the distanced character interactions that felt more organic, guests will likely be thrilled by this change. There is something special about a child getting their favorite character’s autograph or a hug from Mickey Mouse.
