The new Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs will open in July 2019

Updated:

Theย new Tower coming to Disneyโ€™s Coronado Springs Resort will officially open in July of 2019. The 15-story addition also has an official name – the Gran Destino Tower. Bob Chapek,ย Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products Chairman, recently announced both the opening date and name for the Tower.

The Tower will serve as the new main entrance and will addย 545 new guest rooms to the resort. The previously released concept art shows that the Gran Destino Tower will have a two-story lobby and a table-service restaurant. The restaurant will be located at the top of the Tower, offering some incredible views of the nightly fireworks shows around Disney World.

Another new dining location will also be added in the middle of the resort’s 14-acre lake that guests will access by walkways across the water.

These changes come as the entire Coronado Springs Resort is reimagined with new colors and updated rooms.

Reservations are expected to open for the Gran Destino Tower in the near future.
