Disney has announced that Soarin’ Over California is returning to EPCOT for a limited time! The California version of Soarin’ will temporarily replace Soarin’ Around the World inside The Land Pavilion beginning September 22, 2023.
The return of the original Soarin’ is in honor of Disney’s 100th anniversary.

Soarin’ Over California debuted in EPCOT all the way back in 2005. This version of the ride ran until 2016 when Soarin’ Around the World took over. Soarin’ Over the World looked to expand on what Soarin’ Over California did so well, but many Disney fans prefer the original version of the attraction. That wonky Eiffel Tower in the World version doesn’t help.
Soarin’ Over California has made limited returns during events at Disney California Adventure over the past several years. Here’s hoping this won’t be the last time we see Soarin’ Over Califnornia return to EPCOT for a special engagement.
