Primeval Whirl is now an empty lot at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Updated:

Primeval Whirl has been completely demolished at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. A new aerial photo from high above DinoLand USA shows that an empty lot is all that’s left of the coaster.

There’s not much to be seen behind the construction walls.

Primeval Whirl was reported as permanently closed back in July 2020. The ride continued to sit idle for over a year until demolition began in October 2021. The demo moved quickly and now there’s nothing left about a month later.

So, what’s to become of the space where Primeval Whirl lived?

Disney hasn’t announced any plans for this location. Rumors have suggested that the entire area of Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama could be overhauled. There’s enough space to build a small land or a large new attraction. Lots of ideas have been thrown around, but it’s unclear what Disney will plan next for Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
