Peter Pan’s Flight reopens after month-long refurbishment at the Magic Kingdom

One of the most iconic rides at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom has reopened. Peter Pan’s Flight is once again taking guests on a trip to Neverland following about a month-long refurbishment. The ride closed back on January 7, 2019 and reopened on February 2, 2019.

Nothing was significantly changed to the ride during the closure, but there was some new paint and some general maintenance performed. Disney generally uses these shorter refurbishment periods to clean, touch-up and perform minor maintenance in order to keep the ride looking its best.

It’s believed that other Magic Kingdom attractions will see similar brief refurbishment periods in order to spruce everything up before Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary in 2021.
