Orange County to name December 3 ‘Walt Disney World Day’

Orange County will recognize Walt Disney World’s contributions in central Florida with a special honor. Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings will officially declare December 3 Walt Disney World Day in the area.

Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle commented on the declaration, as seen on News 6 WKMG.

“For 50 years, Walt Disney World Resort has served as a beacon of hope and happiness in the Central Florida area, bringing the beloved magic found across the resort to children and families in our neighboring communities.”

Disney recently donated millions of dollars to central Florida non-profits, including Give Kids the World, The Boys and Girls Club and others. There’s no question Walt Disney World is critical to central Florida for its donations, employment and tourism dollars.
