New Tiger Joins the Maharajah Jungle Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

A new Sumatran tiger has joined the Maharajah Jungle Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! The tiger, named Conrad, came to Walt Disney World through the Associations of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) Species Survival Plan.

Dr. Mark Penning, Vice President of Disney’s Animals, Science & Environment, announced the exciting addition on Instagram.

Introducing … Conrad, the “paw-some” new addition to Maharajah Jungle Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park!

Conrad came to us through a @Zoos_Aquariums’ Species Survival Plan (SSP) recommendation, which helps sustain healthy populations in managed care, including critically endangered Sumatran tigers like Conrad.
