The new Star Wars hotel that’s currently being built near Disney’s Hollywood Studios finally has a name. Disney has announced that the new hotel will be called Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser and will feature a ship called the Halcyon.
Disney also revealed that guests will “board” the Halcyon for a two-night adventure where they will be an active participant in an immersive Star Wars story.
Below is the latest description of the experience via D23.com:
So far, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser sounds like a cruise ship mixed with a murder mystery experience. Guests will “board” the ship during check-in before being transported into space to start their adventure.
Once on board, guests may be tasked with various activities around the ship and might even face the First Order in a memorable battle. Guests will also visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge via a special transport system that simulates taking a transport ship down from the Halcyon to the planet of Batuu.
While this experience promises to be unique, it also promises to carry a large cost. Rumors have suggested that the hotel may charge over $1,000 per night, per person, but that hasn’t been officially confirmed at this time.
