Last pieces of theming removed from the Universe of Energy building

The last few pieces of theming have been removed from the outside of the Universe of Energy building. A new photo from @bioreconstruct (seen above) shows that the old decorative theming elements have been removed and are sitting on the ground as the building transitions into the home of a Guardians of the Galaxy attraction.

Below is a look at what the theming elements looked like shortly after Ellen’s Energy Adventure closed to make way for the Guardians coaster.

Previously, we saw the iconic mirrored tiles removed from the Universe of Energy building. Now, the last remaining elements on the building have been removed to clear the way for work to begin on theming for a new attraction.

Nearby, the new gravity building for this ride (the building where gravity does all the work for a coaster) looms over some construction equipment.

Considering how very different Epcot is already looking with the incoming Guardians attraction, let’s hope all of these changes produce an entertaining ride.
