When Disney announced the Disney Genie, they mentioned the price for Individual Lightning Lane attractions would vary based on peak times. Now, we’ve seen that practice in action as prices have increased for Individual Lightning Lane attractions this weekend.
Prices for almost all Individual Lightning Lane attractions increased on Friday. Only a couple attractions, including Rise of the Resistance, didn’t see a price change.
Epcot
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure: $11 (was $8)
Frozen Ever After: $11 (was $9)
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway: $10 (was $8)
Rise of the Resistance: $15 (no change)
Magic Kingdom
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: $12 (was $10)
Space Mountain: $9 (was $7)
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Flight of Passage: $14 (was $11)
Expedition Everest: $7 (no change)
The main surprise is Rise of the Resistance, the most popular ride at Walt Disney World, did not see a price change. Currently, Rise of the Resistance is selling out of its Individual Lightning Lane passes early each day. The $15 per person price isn’t stopping the passes from selling out within minutes of park open. We fully expect Rise to take on a higher standard price in the future.
Overall, these price increases were expected as soon as Disney announced dynamic pricing. We’d expect prices to rise even higher around holidays and during summer months.
