Fantasmic! Finally Returns November 3, 2022 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney has finally announced a reopening date for Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The show will return on November 3, 2022 after more than a two-year absence.

When Fantasmic! returns, guests will experience upgraded lighting, lasers and sound during the performance. In addition to the technology upgrades, the show’s original Pocahontas scene has been replaced by a new scene featuring several Disney characters.

More details on the new scene, via Disney:

The new heroes sequence features a high-energy Aladdin chase with stunts never before seen on the “Fantasmic!” stage, a powerful scene with Elsa set to the song “Show Yourself” that is sure to thaw the most frozen of hearts, and stirring moments with Pocahontas, Moana and Mulan.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been sorely lacking nighttime entertainment since Walt Disney World reopened in 2020. The lack of Fantasmic!, and the still missing Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular, left the park feeling awfully quiet at night.
