Walt Disney World has teased the return of Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! The Disney Parks Instagram account revealed that cast rehearsals have started for Fantasmic!, indicating a return is on the horizon.

Fantasmic! has remained closed ever since Walt Disney World shut down its theme parks in 2020. During the closure, Disney has performed a variety of refurbishment projects around the amphitheater.
The show will look a bit different when it returns. It was previously reported that the Pocahontas scene would be removed from Fantasmic! and some “technical enhancements” would be added.
We expect Disney will announce an opening date at D23 Expo 2022 in September.
