Disney’s Blizzard Beach Set to Reopen November 6, 2023

Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park will reopen to guests on November 6, 2023. The water park has been closed since March 2023 for its annual refurbishment. Disney announced the news on the Disney Parks Blog.

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park will close for the season as Blizzard Beach reopens. An official closing date hasn’t been announced, but Typhoon Lagoon’s posted operating hours end just as Blizzard Beach reopens in early November.

Disney appears intent to continue their practice of only having one water park at Walt Disney World open at a time. Whether it’s a staffing issue or an expected attendance issue, Disney hasn’t had both water parks open simultaneously in years. That’s a disappointing decision for guests, especially during the brutal Florida summers.

Ahead of Blizzard Beach reopening, Disney is selling a new Water Park Seasonal Pass for $79 that allows for repeat visits (with no block out dates!) through May 24, 2024. The Water Park Seasonal Pass also includes parking, which makes the offer a great one for local residents.
