Disney World to make reopening presentation to Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force

Walt Disney World appears to be moving forward with their plans on how to start safely reopening their theme parks and resorts. Disney and several of its competitors are getting ready to make presentations to the Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force, hoping to get an initial approval before the plans are submitted to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

It has also been reported that the presentation must include a specific reopening date in order to be approved by DeSantis.

While specific details in Walt Disney World’s reopening plan haven’t been released at this time, the initial reopening of Disney Springs should offer some insight. There the new health regulations include masks for guests and cast members, temperature checks, reduced capacity, social distancing in lines and restaurants, and more.

Lots of rumors have swirled around how Walt Disney World will reopen its theme parks and resorts. Everything has been discussed from the theme parks opening in phases to limiting attendance at first to just Florida residents. The scope of Disney’s initial plans should be known in the coming days.
