Disney World is “ahead of the curve” with ideas on how to reopen safely

Date:

The Walt Disney Company received some high praise from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis about their ideas on how to reopen safely to guests. In an interview with Fox News, DeSantis mentioned that great ideas have been created by all the businesses on the Re-Open Florida Task Force.

DeSantis specifically highlighted Disney in his comments. Disney is represented on the task force by Josh D’Amaro, President of Walt Disney World Resort.

Based on the initial reports we have seen about Walt Disney World’s tentative reopening plans, Disney is looking at everything including opening the theme parks in phases, sanitizing ride vehicles after every passenger, eliminating crowded events such as parades and fireworks, and more.

Currently, Walt Disney World is closed indefinitely and is rumored to be looking between June and September for a potential reopening date. Though no specific details have been officially announced, it’s safe to say that the Walt Disney World experience will look very different when it reopens.
