Disney World asks large groups to split up to maintain physical distancing

Walt Disney World has updated their health and safety regulations to address large groups visiting the theme parks. In order to maintain physical distancing in lines, Disney has asked large groups to split up into smaller groups.

The new section on parties of 10 or more people can be seen below:

Party Size: Guests traveling in parties of more than 10 are asked to split into smaller groups in queues, dining locations and other areas around our parks and resorts to better allow for physical distancing.

Walt Disney World has added plexiglass barriers and stickers in every line to help guests stay physically distanced. However, larger groups standing on a single sticker make it nearly impossible for the groups ahead and behind to stay distanced. These large groups are being asked to split up and stand on multiple stickers rather than grouping up on a single spot.

Disney also updated their health and regulations page to state that vaccinated guests must still wear masks at Walt Disney World.

As always, safety regulations are subject to change without notice. We recommend checking Walt Disney World’s official Experience Updates page before visiting the theme parks and resorts.
