Disney Cruise Line has revealed some exciting new details about the Disney Wish. The Disney Wish, which will be Disney Cruise Line’s fifth ship, will debut to guests in Summer 2022. On board, guests will experience a new attraction featuring Mickey Mouse, restaurants dedicated to Frozen and Marvel, and much, much more.
Now, let’s talk about some specifics about the Disney Wish.
Upper Deck & AquaMouse
The Disney Wish will have a new water attraction on the upper deck called the AquaMouse. The ride will have show scenes, lighting and effects from the Mickey Mouse shorts. The AquaMouse sounds like the beloved AquaDuck seen on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy taken to the next level.
The upper deck will also have a Toy Story Splash Zone and a redesigned area specifically for adults.
The Disney Wish will have overhauled youth clubs for younger travelers. The Oceaneer Club will be accessible by a special slide entrance. Marvel Super Hero Academy will play a prominent role in the kids clubs as well. Fairytale Hall will bring children directly into contact with several Disney princesses. Disney Imagineering itself will also be involved in the kids clubs, allowing children to learn more about robotics, design and more.
The theatre within the Disney Wish will be themed after a magical forest. The lineup of shows will include a reimagined version of Aladdin and two shows that will be unique to the Disney Wish.
In addition to the theatre shows, entertainment will take place in other locations around the ship. The Grand Hall has a stage for shows that will take place throughout the day. Two other locations will also feature new forms of entertainment. Luna will welcome families during the day before transforming into an adults-only entertainment venue at night with live shows. Hero Zone is a sports arena that combines sports with family activities and challenges.
Star Wars fans rejoice! Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge will be a new bar dedicated to a galaxy far, far away. Think of it as a miniature cantina with views into space.
New adults-only experiences include a reimagined Palo, a new restaurant called Enchante and a lounge called The Rose. These adults-only dining experiences will have elegant food and drink with a Beauty and the Beast theme.
Let’s talk rotational dining restaurants. The family restaurants will bring guests into the world of Frozen and Arendelle with a theatrical dinner performance. Another family restaurant is called 1923 and pays tribute to classic Hollywood. It’s a special nod to the era of Hollywood Walt Disney himself enjoyed. The third family restaurant is Worlds of Marvel, which will take guests to an Avengers technology showcase with cinematic performances.
Staterooms on the Disney Wish will carry on many of the features guests love on Disney Cruise Line, but have a redesigned feel that looks more clean and modern.
Suites will feature a first on Disney Cruise Line – two levels! Yes, you can enjoy your own spiral staircase if you’re willing to book the most expensive of staterooms.
Guests can begin booking itineraries on the Disney Wish starting May 27, 2021.
