More change may be coming to Epcot in the near future. With several large projects already taking place around Epcot (Guardians of the Galaxy attraction, Ratatouille attraction) more may be on the horizon inside Future World.
Bob Chapek, the chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, was recently spotted with a large group of Disney executives outside of the Imagination Pavilion. He can be seen near the middle of the photo in the light blue shirt, standing between the gentlemen wearing gray and red shirts.
Pokémon Go has gotten weird. Think I caught a wild Bob Chapek at #Epcot. Taking a real look at Imagination pavilion. pic.twitter.com/3FeN5QmQu6

Years ago, a similar scene took place outside of the Universe of Energy attraction. As we now know, the Universe of Energy has closed and will be home to the new Guardians of the Galaxy attraction.
Could a significant change be coming to the Imagination Pavilion and the Journey into Imagination ride?
Meanwhile, Disney executives and construction workers were also spotted walking into the Wonders of Life building. The building has been primarily used for storage and for festivals ever since it closed in 2007.

Roofing work has been taking place on the building, but with the group also examining the Imagination Pavilion, it’s possible that a larger conversation regarding Future World may be taking place.
Spotting Disney executives walking around Future World should add more fuel to the speculation fire. The “Blue Sky” art of Future World presented at D23 2017 did depict major changes to these areas, though that concept art shouldn’t be taken too literally. Regardless of how closely Disney follows that art, it appears change is on the horizon.
