Epcot at Walt Disney World is going through a serious transformation. The overhaul of Future World will introduce four neighborhoods, the Journey of Water, a new Festival Center and the demolition of Innoventions West and the Fountain of Nations.
The demolition of the Fountain of Nations began shortly after Disney revealed their long-term plans for Epcot’s future. Today, the fountain area is almost unrecognizable.

Taking a closer look, you can see the pump room that sat just beneath the fountain. Well, what’s left of it.

The Fountain of Nations has been a feature at Epcot since opening day in 1982. “Shows” would take place every 15 minutes with the water synchronized to different musical themes.
Symbolically, the Fountain of Nations will live on. Water was supposed to be collected and will be used in some of the new features that will be added during Epcot’s transformation.
