Construction update on Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge

It’s time for a quick update on Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, the brand new resort that will sit on the shores of Bay Lake in the former location of River Country water park.

So far, guests traveling on the resort boats from Wilderness Lodge Resort and Fort Wilderness Resort to the Magic Kingdom have spotted construction equipment clearing the land for the new resort. Now, a new aerial photo from @bioreconstruct shows the extent of the land clearing and that foundation work may begin soon.

While information on Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge is fairly limited outside of knowing it will have a nature theme, a variety of accommodation types (including tree houses!) and a restaurant themed around The Princess and the Frog, it’s very clear that it will dramatically alter the views around Bay Lake.

The aerial photo also shows just how close the new resort will sit next to Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Will the campgrounds remain a peaceful and serene location once Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge opens in 2022?
