Update from May 2020: It’s possible the Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge project will be delayed/cancelled indefinitely.
It’s been a long time since we’ve talked about Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, the new resort that Disney is building at the site of the old River Country water park. This DVC resort will be inspired by nature and will feature more than 900 rooms and accommodations.
Due to its somewhat secluded location between Wilderness Lodge Resort and Fort Wilderness Resort, it’s been a bit tricky to follow the project. Thankfully, some great aerial photos reveal that the old River Country is completely gone, the land has been cleared and leveled, and it looks like foundation work is about to begin.

Currently, Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge is scheduled to open in 2022. Once open, it will offer a variety of accommodation types for both DVC and traditional resort guests. Very few details on the resort have been officially announced at this time, but it has been reported that a restaurant themed to The Princess and the Frog might be a signature character experience.
