Space Mountain at Disneyland is closing for an extended period in Fall 2023. The popular coaster will close for refurbishment on September 18, 2023 and will remain closed until mid-Fall 2023.

Space Mountain will be closed for refurbishment, beginning September 18, 2023, and will reopen in mid-Fall, 2023. Please check back for updates.
Disney did not mention a specific date when Space Mountain will reopen or what will be addressed during the refurbishment. The coaster has had some issues recently, such as the warp tunnel having broken lighting, but we imagine the refurbishment will focus on routine maintenance rather than changes to the ride experience.
