How Far Is Walt Disney World From Universal Studios Florida?

Updated:

Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Florida are home to the largest and most popular theme parks in the world. Both destinations are located near Orlando, Florida and are often visited by families on the same vacation.

How far is Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Florida? They’re a lot closer than you might think.

The specific answer will vary depending on your exact resort or theme park destination. Most locations are within 5 and 15 miles depending on which part of property you’re visiting.

Due to traffic and tolls in the area, traveling between the resorts may take between 20 and 30 minutes. Traffic on I4 can vary quite a bit, so your trip might take significantly longer. Shuttles and bus transportation may take longer than if you are driving directly with a personal vehicle.

We’d recommend leaving 45 minutes to an hour in order to travel from Walt Disney World to Universal Studios Florida, or vice versa. This larger travel window should guarantee you’re not late for a dining reservation or any other vacation plans.

Planning a vacation that visits both Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Florida is relatively easy due to how close both locations are to Orlando. However, we recommend that you plan ahead and give your group extra time to move between destinations.
