‘Disney The Tale of Moana’ Show Coming to the Disney Treasure

Disney Cruise Line has announced that a brand new Broadway-style show is coming to the Disney Treasure. Disney The Tale of Moana will be an exclusive show on the Disney Treasure, and will follow Moana as she journeys to restore the heart of Te Fiti.

More on the show as seen on the Disney Parks Blog:

The show will follow Moana as she embarks on an incredible journey to save her island after she is chosen by the ocean to restore the heart of Te Fiti. Fans of the original film will recognize many beloved characters like Gramma Tala, Maui and Tamatoa when they appear on stage, as well as songs from the film’s iconic soundtrack.

In addition to Disney The Tale of Moana, the Disney Treasure will also feature Beauty and the Beast and Disney Seas the Adventure in the Walt Disney Theatre. All Disney Cruise Line ships host three Broadway-style shows for guests to enjoy during their voyage. These shows are outstanding, high quality, and a big differentiator between Disney Cruise Line and other cruise companies.

The Disney Treasure will be the second of the Triton-class ships (the other being the Disney Wish) to join Disney Cruise Line. The Disney Treasure and Disney Wish have many similarities, but we recently examined how the Wish and Treasure are different. A third ship in the Triton class is scheduled to join Disney Cruise Line’s fleet after the Disney Treasure.

The Disney Treasure will sail its maiden voyage December 21, 2024.
