So long, sling bag! Disney Cruise Line has finally updated the gifts and lanyards that are given to Castaway Club members. The new items include a backpack, a wet/dry bag, a water bottle, and a travel pillow/blanket combo.
Let’s take a look at all the new gifts! As a reminder, each tier will receive its gift and all the gifts in the tier(s) below it. For example, a gold level guest will receive both the gold level gift and the silver gift.
Silver Members – Backpack
Gold Members – Wet/Dry Bag, Backpack
Platinum Members – Stainless-steel Water Bottle, Wet/Dry Bag, Backpack
Pearl Members – Travel Pillow/Blanket Combo, Water Bottle, Wet/Dry Bag, Backpack
In addition to the gift updates, Disney Cruise Line has also redesigned the lanyards that they give to Castaway Club guests.

The new lanyard designs are much more vibrant. The colors are more in line with their tier levels. Silver’s lanyard no longer looks more gray, and gold’s lanyard no longer looks like yellow. It’s a good change!
We think these are very positive changes for Castaway Club members. Considering Disney Cruise Line has so many repeat cruisers, we think they need to update the gifts much more often than they have in the past. Guests will inevitably debate (complain?) that they’d rather have a different gift item, but we’re welcoming something new. Have we mentioned we’re thrilled the sling bags are gone? If not, we’ll mention it again. And again.
