Cruise Critic has released its 2019 Cruisers’ Choice Awards and Disney Cruise Line was well represented in the “Best for Families” category.
The awards, which are based on the ratings and reviews from the website’s cruise community, selected the Disney Magic as the top overall choice for families. The Disney Dream also cracked the top-10 list, coming in as the fifth-best option for families. The Disney Dream also ranked fifth in the “Best Cruise Ships for Public Rooms” category, which focused on ships’ public areas and amenities.
It may come as a surprise that the Disney Magic, an older ship on Disney Cruise Line, beat out the newer Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. Reviewers appeared to like the more intimate feeling of a smaller ship versus the larger Dream and Fantasy.
It’s worth noting that Disney Cruise Line was not ranked in any of the other categories, including Overall, Cabins, Dining, Embarkation, Entertainment, Fitness & Recreation, Service, Shore Excursions, Value, First Times and River.
Disney Cruise Line was also recently named the best in the Caribbean and the best for families by U.S. News.
