It’s time for another construction update at Disney Cruise Line’s newest tropical destination Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Disney has released new pictures that show progress on the cabanas at Serenity Bay and work on True-True Too BBQ, the long-named lunch spot for island guests.
The latest pictures, which were shared by Scott Gustin, offer the first look at Serenity Bay. We previously saw how the family cabanas will look, and now we have a better idea of what’s in store for the adults-only beach.
We’re big fans of the colorful rooftops on the Serenity Bay beach cabanas. But, they don’t seem to have quite the same privacy as the cabanas on Castaway Cay, which we absolutely love. The landscaping seems fairly sparse at this point, though that may change in the future.
Disney also provided another look at True-True Too BBQ.
Everything looks nice from above! Like we mentioned around the cabanas, we’re hoping there’s more lush landscaping to come around the area. And we’re still betting guests will shorten the name of ‘True-True Too BBQ’ to some sort of nickname almost immediately.
Work is clearly coming along at Lookout Cay on Lighthouse Point, but there’s still a lot to do. The first Disney Cruise Line guests will visit Disney’s new destination in June. Will it live up to the extremely high bar that was set by Castaway Cay?
