EPCOT’s CommuniCore Hall & Plaza has been testing its exterior lighting over the past few nights. The triangle-shaped lights have been running through various test patterns and colors, providing an early preview at how the building will look when it officially opens June 10.
The triangle lights cover large sections of CommuniCore Hall, but don’t cover it in its entirety. We can see a great look at the lights being tested thanks to friend of the website DC Baker.
World Celebration’s best feature is its nighttime lighting packages that mimic Spaceship Earth’s light designs. CommuniCore Hall should carry Spaceship Earth’s lighting designs throughout more of World Celebration, which is an instant win.
Look at how nice CommuniCore Hall’s lighting looks with Spaceship Earth in the background!
World Celebration should look even better at night once this new space opens and the lighting is all synced up. But, we hope the lighting is a bit more reliable than some of the other fixtures in World Celebration (looking at you, ground LEDs).
CommuniCore Hall & Plaza will soon become the new center of festivals at EPCOT. In addition to hosting various activities and events for the festivals, it’ll also serve as the home of classic character meet and greets. A sing-along show based on Encanto will also debut when CommuniCore Hall opens to guests on June 10.
