It’s almost the holiday season at Walt Disney World! Ahead of the festive celebration, Disney has announced that six resorts at Walt Disney World will host gingerbread displays for the 2023 season.
According to Scott Gustin, the following six resorts will have gingerbread displays at Walt Disney World this season.
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
The amazing gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa always steals the headlines (it’s pretty awesome), but the other displays are extremely impressive. The carousel that’s usually at Disney’s Beach Club Resort is mesmerizing.
New for 2023 is a gingerbread display at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. It’s unclear if the new gingerbread setup will replace the Yacht Club’s old train display. We loved that model train display, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see it replaced.
There is one notable omission from this year’s gingerbread list – Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. It’s been several years since Disney’s Wilderness Lodge had its gingerbread cabin, and there’s no sign of it returning. It’s a shame.
Disney didn’t say when the gingerbread displays will start popping up at the various resorts. But, if history is any indication, Disney moves pretty quickly into Christmas once Halloween is over. Guests visiting in mid-November should have strong odds to see these displays installed.
