Guests Are Selling ‘It’s Tough to be a Bug’ 3D Glasses on eBay

Updated:

Want to own the 3D glasses used in the It’s Tough to be a Bug attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Unsurprisingly, resellers posted multiple listings for the glasses on eBay well before the show even closed its doors to guests for the final time.

The 3D glasses, which are called bug eyes during the show, were given to guests during the attraction’s final day of operation on March 16th, 2025. It didn’t take long for those glasses to start showing up on eBay. Some of the glasses were even sold in a package set that included the glasses used for Muppet Vision 3D at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

There’s quite a few resellers trying to make a buck on the ashes of It’s Tough to be a Bug. But, that’s to be expected. Resellers are always trying to capitalize on Disney merch, or in this case old glasses, to make a buck. We’ve seen resellers buying an insane amount of Splash Mountain merch before that ride closed. People even tried to sell the free Splash Mountain Ziploc bags that were handed out to riders back in 2018.

Is there a market for the old 3D bug glasses? We’ll find out.
